Faldo Helps IJGA Inaugurate Performance Training Center

Pro golferNick Faldo presided over a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the International Junior Golf Academy’s new Performance Training Center in Bluffton. IJGA recently undertook a $2 million building renovation turning a 20,000-square-foot horse barn at Old Carolina into a state-of-the-art indoor training facility for junior golfers.

The new facility includes indoor hitting bays, a short game area, and a performance studio, which houses Swing Catalyst Force Plate equipment.

Outdoors, construction has recently begun on an 18-hole, 9-green, par-3 Challenge Course and a St. Andrews links-style Himalayas putting green.

Faldo hosted a special golf clinic for IJGA student-athletes and the general public prior to the grand opening. The three-time Masters champion, RBC Heritage title winner, and CBS and Golf Channel analyst demonstrated a variety of distance shots and short-game techniques.
