Golfers of all skill levels can now benefit from a fine-tuning of their game with the high-tech TOMI putting instruction device and the K-VEST swing improvement apparatus at The Village Golf Shop.
TOMI, which stands for Total Optimal Motion Instructor, is brand new technology and already has received rave reviews nationally from top golf instructors and players over the past several months.
Invented by Marius Filmalter, a putting coach for many pros on the PGA, LPGA and Champions tours, the TOMI records critical parameters of the putting stroke, showing the golfer and the instructor what needs to be corrected in a players stroke. TOMI’s computer calculates eight key areas of the putting stroke in real-time, including alignment at address and impact, path and speed and shaft angle at impact, and stroke tempo.
The K-VEST is a mobile, interactive golf game improvement system that can be used indoors and on the course. K-VEST utilizes three wireless sensors located on a vest at a golfers hip, shoulder and hand. The sensors measure a golf swing in 3-D displays on a computer screen.
Key calculations are recorded at alignment, posture, hip position, hip and shoulder rotation, and hip and spine movement, guiding the instructor on the best ways to improve a golfers set-up, swing and follow-through.
