Veronica Gutierrez has become the first female officer for the Bluffton Township Fire District. She was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, according to the fire district.
Lt. Gutierrez started her career as a firefighter with the Bluffton Township Fire District in 2018.
“It is truly exciting to be a part of Bluffton Township Fire District’s history,” she said in a news release.
